YOUR PROBLEM

When mobilising a civils team, it is highly likely that you currently hire and rent from any number of differing suppliers, e.g:

  • Van

  • Mini Excavator

  • Trailer

  • Hydraulic Breaker

  • Pump

  • Disc Cutter

  • Generator

  • Cat Locator & Signal Genny

  • Cobra Breaker

  • Fuel Card

  • Tooling

  • Consumable

  • PPE

This will potentially generate 20+ invoices to mobilise just one team. On top of that you will have ongoing invoices for hire, fuel, consumables, tooling and PPE. This could be up to 30 invoices per month for one team.

This costs you both time and money as well as making for a complicated auditing process as no two suppliers operate in the same way.

OUR SOLUTION

Unifleet Utility Solutions offers an alternative to the current way utility hire works. We offer a complete hire solutions and management package at a fixed weekly cost. This benefits our customers through a reduction in time and cost associated with both administration and compliance. Our offering will limit invoicing to eight per month, four relating to hire and four relating to purchases such as tooling etc, this will be supplied on a weekly basis to help manage spends and forecast costs.

Every package we offer is bespoke to individual needs an and can include but is not limited to Vehicles, Plant, Tools, Tooling, Consumables, First Aid and PPE.

AUDITS

Included in all of our Hire packages is a two-to-four-week complete audit of the vehicle and equipment by Unifleet Utility Services personnel. This will include vehicle checks, full plant, and tool check (asset number check, electrical compliance, calibration, and service dates etc)

This will highlight any issues, damages, missing equipment, vehicle defects and compliance issues.  Meaning any problems are dealt with within a calendar month and not dragged out ensuring additional hire costs are not incurred.

All the equipment and tooling will be asset tagged using RFID or Barcodes. This is linked to a database meaning we can see if equipment tooling is being swapped between gangs.

PPE

As an addition you can opt for the PPE package. This means the gang related to the vehicle will be issued with one set each per year of PPE and Clothing (branded if required) to allow the gang to complete the required work.

Part of the Vehicle check carried out by Unifleet Utility Services every two weeks would include a PPE check to ensure the team is compliant.

CONSUMABLES & GANG SELF-AUDITING TOOLS

If you require, Unifleet Utility Services can offer a reordering and self-audit application which can be added to a mobile phone or tablet or can be a fixed asset device located in the vehicle.

This will enable the gang to self-audit all the equipment within the vehicle which cannot be bypassed and means the equipment is present replacing manual plant returns.

CONSUMABLES

Each vehicle will be issued with a consumable catalogue (Your required items only) through the same application. Each gang will have the ability to scan and request for approval any items within the catalogue. This is sent to both You and Unifleet Utility Services for approval.

MANAGEMENT DATA

Cost Data will be provided for each individual vehicle. This will give you a full spend, as well as an individual spend broken down by all commodities. Unifleet Utility Services will highlight any overspend per gang on consumables tooling etc and will also highlight any additional fuel costs incurred within the month by using the tracking system reports.
